Steel Tanks

MSE Kraków is a company dedicated to the execution of projects, regeneration, prefabrication, and also installation of steel tanks used mostly in petrochemistry (those are tanks for liquid fuels), and energy sector(pressure, water and steam tanks). Our experienced technical staff builds and renovates steel tanks, e.g. for PKN Orlen S.A group, Air Products, Rafineria Trzebinia S.A.
Our offer includes vertical steel tanks  for liquid fuels, single and double-shell, with floating or permanent roof. Tanks for compressed air, tanks made of stainless steel for the food and petrochemical industries, water and steam tanks, pressurized or non-pressurized.
MSE Kraków also specializes in repairs and renovations of steel tanks, involving the replacement of pieces of tank shell sheathing, replacing tanks bottoms, welding thinned walls, shot blasting and painting. On request, we measure the wall thickness, we choose the connectors and valves, we also perform leak tests and pressure tests.

The history of steel tanks

Steel tanks were created in 1859 and had to displace their wooden brothers, and all this by the creation of the first oil well Gusher in Pennsylvania. Refining and car industries developed very quickly, which resulted in the need for modernization of steel tanks which were used primarily for storage and transport of fuel.
Nowadays steel tanks are used in virtually all categories of industry, starting from food industry, through pharmaceutical industry, ending up with energy industry.
